James L. Beckman, age 21, of Harmon, Illinois died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Windom, Minnesota.
James was born on February 22, 1991 in Sterling, Illinois the son of James Beckman and Angela Van Horn. He was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather Angela and John Jacobs of Harmon, Illinois; his father James Beckman of Columbia, South Carolina; one brother Nick Beckman of Harmon, Illinois; three sisters Destiny Fleming of Harmon, Illinois, Candice Beckman, Caydence Beckman both of Columbia, South Carolina; maternal grandparents Harold Van Horn of Harmon, Illinois; Dennis and Kathy Jacobs of Byron, Illinois; paternal grandmother Sue Beckman of Minnesota; several aunts , uncles, cousins; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. Cremation rites will be accorded. A MEMORIAL HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN HIS MEMORY. Condolences may be sent to: www.garlandfuneralhome.com.
