Rosemary (Kemper) Duffy, 80, of Princeton, formerly of Ohio, Ill, died on Wednesday, March 6 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Rosemary was born on January 23, 1939 in Rochelle to Jefferson and Caroline (Bresson) Kemper.  She married Edward Duffy on August 3, 1968 in Ohio, Illinois.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and had served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, took communion to shut-ins and taught CCD.  Rosemary was a devout Ohio Bulldogs fan and served as past president of the Ohio Boosters and on the High School Board of Education.

She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading and playing cards. Rosemary loved to cook and was known for her homemade baked beans which were a family favorite. She was an exceptional baker and enjoyed making Christmas cookies for all and especially enjoyed donating them to various charities and organizations. She loved her family deeply especially her grandchildren. Proper grammar was very important to her and she bestowed that on her children.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Edward, of Princeton; her daughters, Deb Duffy and Phyllis Duffy both of Princeton, Erin Duffy of Rockford, Megan Duffy of Ohio and Duanna Duffy of Princeton; her grandchildren, Miguel, Nathaniel, Isaiah, Matthew, Alec, Mary, and Logan; her great grandchildren, Jakobi and Juliette; a sister Dorothy (David) Snow of Crystal Lake, Washington; her brothers, Daryl (Mary) Kemper of Litchfield Park, Ariz., Jim (Joanna) Kemper of Compton and Jeff Kemper of Dixon; a sister-in-law, Gail Kemper of Idaho Fall, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews, and special life-long friend, Connie Allen of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Mary, a brother Charles and a sister Phyllis.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of fmaily and friends will be from 9-10:30 AM Monday March 11 at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A celebration of her life will be at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Inturnment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Ohio Fire and Rescue.
