Marilyn A. Henry - 868/11/1931 - 12/23/2017
Marilyn A. Henry, age 86 of Harmon, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Marilyn was born on August 11, 1931 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Henry and Viola (Keating) Quinn. She married Patrick Henry on August 9, 1951 in Williamsburg, VA. Marilyn worked for the American Red Cross as a Registered Nurse during her lifetime. She was a member of St. Flannen Catholic Church in Harmon. She was also an active member of St. Anne's Society at the church and enjoyed her time with her monthly bridge club friends. Marilyn will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening, her intense commitment to family, and her great devotion to the Blessed Virgin.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick; her three daughters, Judi (Mark) Fenoglio of Chatham, IL, Tricia (Brad) Scott of Redlands, CA and Kathleen (Dan) Quinn of Oak Ridge, TN; her two sons, Michael (Rebecca) Henry of Harmon and Douglas (Sherry) Henry of Rock Falls; sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with the Rosary recited at 6:45 P.M. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Flannen Catholic Church in Harmon with Reverend Timothy Draper, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Harmon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the American Red Cross and St. Flannen Catholic Church in her memory.
